Preschoolers in Oakland, CA — with the guidance from their amazing teacher, Claudia Santos — created these beautiful turtles (plus a sparkling blue ocean!), inspired by my book, Dream Affimals: Affirmations + Animals.

In particular, they learned about loggerhead sea turtles, how they start their lives by hatching from eggs buried by their mother in beach sand. Then, under the light of the moon, the tiny turtles run to safety in the sea—the a vast and abundant place where they will spend most of the rest of their lives.

What can we learn from the tale of the sea turtle? As the books says: "To reach for an ocean dreams."
